Guidelines for borrowing toys and equipment from Community Playlink’s toy library, for individual families and for group members.
All our toys and equipment are chosen for their quality and for both their play and educational value, whether you’re borrowing as an individual family or as part of a group.
Membership is free for individual families. Just visit us at Swaythling Neighbourhood Centre and complete a membership card to get started.
The toy library works like a book library — you borrow a set number of toys and return them within the stated loan period. Long-term loans can be arranged where needed, and our Toy Librarian is happy to advise on the kind of toys that might suit your child.
All toys and equipment are on loan for the time agreed with the Toy Librarian.
If you have any concerns, anything gets broken, or pieces go missing please speak to the Toy Librarian or contact us.
There is an annual small charge for Group loaning toys and equipment, but if any item is lost, damaged or not returned you may incur a further charge for replacement. It would therefore be appreciated if you could look after the items and return them in a clean and complete condition for loaning to another child.
